With the much-anticipated wood construction now well underway, Hullmark and Quadrangle invited media, influencers and key participants in the local Mass Timber movement to visit 80 Atlantic, Toronto’s first new timber-frame commercial building to be built in a generation. The event was an introduction to the building as much as the team behind it, who have developed 80 Atlantic as the prototypical commercial wood building for the 21st century.

Held next door at 60 Atlantic, another successful collaboration between Hullmark and Quadrangle, the event kicked off with presentations by Hullmark President Jeff Hull and Quadrangle Principal Richard Witt on the history, process and progress of the project. Attendees were then given a tour of the site that emphasized 80 Atlantic's uniqueness and sustainability in the marketplace, the business sense of wood, and the impact of the brick-and-beam typology on modern workplaces.

Check out this recent blog post for an in depth look at the project.
