Engineered wood started to arrive on site this week at 80 Atlantic, the first wood office building to be built in Toronto in over a century. This innovative new build from client Hullmark Developments is reinventing the post and beam typology for a 21st century commercial office use, and is set to house major creative industry tenants such as Universal Music Canada, who are relocating their Canadian headquarters to 80 Atlantic.

With below grade and concrete core now complete, the glulam columns and beams are being installed by Timmerman Timberworks, with the nail laminated timber deck to follow shortly. Construction is scheduled for completion in early 2019.
