Michelle Xuereb
Associate, Sustainability Strategist, B.E.S., B.Arch., OAA, LEED AP BD+CMichelle’s role is to stay current with emerging environmental issues and ensure that sustainability concerns are addressed in every decision at Quadrangle. She regularly reviews the firm’s internal and external practices to minimize environmental impact, and she consults on all projects to provide strategies for achieving sustainable goals. For the tenant fit-out of Corus Quay, the Toronto waterfront headquarters of Corus Entertainment, she spearheaded the sustainability strategy for an innovative project ranked as a LEED Commercial Interiors Gold Candidate. Her environmental leadership extends as well to complicated renovation projects such as 130 Bloor Street West in Toronto, which added a seven-storey condominium development on top of an existing building – while preserving its modernist heritage and keeping all offices and retail spaces fully operational. Michelle is on the board of the Toronto Chapter of the Canada Green Building Council and participated in public consultations for the Toronto Green Standard and the Toronto Green Roof Bylaw. An ardent environmentalist, she is committed to ensuring that sustainable design strategies are followed on all Quadrangle projects, from conception through construction to furnishing.
