Sami Kazemi
Associate, B.Arch., OAA, LEED APSami combines a passion for design with deep experience in applying technologies such as Building Information Modeling (BIM) to the architectural process. His extensive portfolio encompasses mixed-use residential, retail, commercial and master plan projects. A senior design architect with Quadrangle since 2010, he played a lead role in developing the master plan for Downtown Markham, a neighbourhood of residential, commercial, retail and hospitality developments that encourages residents to live, work, shop and play locally. Other notable assignments include Tux, a 40-storey mixed-use condominium and retail development on a tightly constrained site in downtown Toronto. Sami’s use of BIM technology allows clients to follow a project through every design phase using 3-D visualization software. He is now expanding his horizons in the Master of Design program in Strategic Foresight and Innovation at OCAD University – complementing his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Applied Science University in Amman, Jordan, and his Advanced Certificate in Architecture from Toronto’s Ryerson University. An accredited LEED professional, Sami is a member of the Canada Green Building Council and the Urban Land Institute.
